Refurbished in 2019, Lynecroft provides contemporary and immaculately furnished self-catering accommodation. The perfect base for you to explore the hidden gem that is Northumberland.

Situated in the pretty village of Embleton, Lynecroft is perfect for families with living space at one end of the the L-shaped property and all bedrooms at the other. Conveniently all on ground floor, the spacious dining kitchen is well appointed with bi-folding doors out on to a large enclosed garden; an excellent spot to dine al fresco and for children and dogs to play. There is a cosy gas fire for those long winter nights and a HD Smart TV complete with FreeviewPlay and built-in streaming apps.

Bed linen, towels, oil central heating, gas and electricity are all included at no additonal charge. The garage provides secure storage for any bikes or watersport equipment you wish to bring.

This cottage is outstanding. One of the best I’ve ever stayed in. If you have a dog it’s ideal with fully enclosed gardens front and rear and a ten minute walk to beach ( dog friendly) would definitely stay here again.

The Area

A friendly greeting awaits visitors to Embleton where there is a local shop, garage and pubs serving food. A short walk brings you to a wide sweep of golden sands which was awarded ‘Beach of the Year’ in 2017 at the BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards. For golfers, there's an abundance of parkland and links courses in the area with Dunstanburough Castle Golf Course only a 10 minute walk.

Driving north brings you to the coastal village of Beadnell where the huge expanse of golden sandy beach is popular with watersports enthusiasts. Sea kayaking, coasteering, kite surfing and diving can be arranged here during the season.

The traditional fishing village of Seahouses is a further 2 miles up the coastline where there is a supermarket and several places to eat. Boat trips to the Farne Islands also depart regularly. Bamburgh is also is renowned for its majestic castle and sweep of golden sandy beach.

Heading a few miles south of Embleton is the pretty coastal village of Alnmouth and a short drive inland is the historic market town of Alnwick where there is a larger selection of shops and restaurants. Alnwick Castle and Garden are popular visitor attractions.
